Francisca Carvalho

Francisca Carvalho was born in Porto, Portugal, and moved to Canada with her family at the age of six. She completed her Bachelor of Arts and Science degree with a double major in Ethics, Society & Law and Political Science, developing a strong interest in public policy, research, and international affairs. During her time in Canada, she worked on government policy initiatives and research projects focused on international politics.

Drawn back to her home country, Francisca returned to Portugal to pursue further studies in her mother tongue, earning a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication Sciences. Her journey then took her to Japan, where she had the opportunity to teach in a variety of school settings and immerse herself in a new culture. This transformative experience deepened her commitment to education and inspired her to dedicate her career to supporting students and families from diverse backgrounds.

As Admissions Officer at The Lisboan International School, Francisca enjoys connecting with people from all over the world and helping families find a welcoming school community. Outside of work, she loves travelling, spending time chatting over coffee, and capturing special moments through her photography!
