Welcome from the Principal
We embrace a world-centred approach to education that draws children out of themselves and into the vibrant world around them. We invite children to engage with their environment, introducing Lisbon as an extension of their classroom and connecting them to sustainability projects that address real-world challenges. All around there are possibilities to grow as individuals in dialogue with the world and each other.
Education at The Lisboan is grounded in the belief that teaching is an ethical act. We strive to create a culture where children feel seen, valued, and empowered. They are neither passive receivers of knowledge nor solitary explorers – they are participants in a dynamic, shared journey.
Our community is guided by the values of kindness, curiosity, connectedness, resilience, and integrity. These values come to life through our unique BOA principles: Belong, Own, Act. At The Lisboan, every child will feel a sense of belonging, take ownership of their learning and will be encouraged to act with courage and purpose.
For me personally, education is a calling, and The Lisboan is a dream realised – a school where children lead with curiosity, where teachers ignite sparks of wonder, and where the joy of learning radiates in every corner.
I am excited to welcome you into our community to join us in this journey. Together, The Lisboan will evolve as a place of magic, fun, and purpose, where every child can flourish.
