THE LISBOAN EXPERIENCE PROGRAMME (LXP)

LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

At The Lisboan, education doesn’t stop when lessons end – we believe that education should extend far beyond traditional classes. Every child deserves opportunities to discover new interests, develop lifelong skills and grow in confidence through meaningful experiences.

That is why every student from Year 3 onwards takes part in The Lisboan Experience Programme (LXP)—a dedicated two-hour block built into the weekly timetable.

This is not an optional club or an after-school activity. It is an integral part of every student’s education, carefully designed to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and character needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

PURPOSEFUL EXPERIENCES. EVERY WEEK.

Each Experience lasts for six weeks, before students begin a new challenge.

Rather than repeating the same activities year after year, every year group follows a carefully planned programme with age-appropriate experiences that evolve as students progress through the school. This ensures every child continues to explore new interests, develop new skills and embrace fresh challenges throughout their journey at The Lisboan.

Every Experience has a clear educational purpose and is intentionally designed around our School Values – Kindness, Curiosity, Connection, Resilience and Integrity – and Experience Pillars.

Led by our own teachers and carefully selected external partners, every programme provides authentic, hands-on learning that inspires students to discover what they are capable of.
