UK Education Foundation
Our Early Years curriculum follows the Cambridge Early Years Programme, rooted in the principles of UK education. This programme provides the best possible start in life, supporting children to meet key developmental milestones and to thrive both in and out of school.
We begin with three prime areas of learning which are essential for developing curiosity and enthusiasm:
- Communication and social interaction
- Physical development and wellbeing
- Personal, social and emotional growth
These prime areas are supported by the Characteristics of Effective Learning:
- Creative and critical thinking
Specialist teachers enrich the Early Years experience with lessons in Portuguese Language and Culture, Art, Math, Music and Physical Education. Children also enjoy access to the Primary library, extending their learning beyond the classroom.
At The Lisboan, our Early Years education connects with the Sustainable Development Goals, helping children understand and manage themselves while beginning to act responsibly at home and at school.
