At The Lisboan, our secondary school offers a broad and balanced curriculum that sustains curiosity and nurtures a love of learning. Just as in our Primary years, students are encouraged to explore big themes, develop critical thinking and approach school with excitement and confidence.
Senior School

Our secondary school students progress to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, studying six subjects across key areas including Language and Literature, Science, Mathematics, Individuals and Societies, Languages and The Arts.
The IB also develops essential skills through three core components:
- Extended Essay: independent research culminating in a 4,000-word paper
- Theory of Knowledge: reflection on the nature of knowledge through presentation and essay
- Creativity, Action and Service (CAS): arts, physical activity and service projects that foster creativity, wellbeing and social responsibility
Preparing Students for the Future
Through the combination of Cambridge IGCSEs and the IB Diploma, The Lisboan equips students with the academic rigour, personal growth and international perspective they need to thrive at university and beyond.
