IGCSEs

Secondary school education at The Lisboan is centred around securing International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) qualifications in a range of core subjects.

Essential critical skills

Recognised as an equivalent attainment standard as GCSEs in the UK, IGCSEs are English language based qualifications that allow students to acquire broad-based knowledge while also developing essential critical skills that will support them as they venture into the world.

Supported by an academic counsellor, students can choose from a range of IGCSE subjects based on their skills, capabilities and future ambitions. These subjects include English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, Design and Technology, Art and Design, Music and Physical Education.

At the end of Year 11, students sit the Cambridge International Education IGCSE examinations, before progressing on to A-levels or more vocational study.
